Because Many Veterans Don’t Know Help Is Available
Too often, Veterans delay asking for support because they’re unsure where to start, what they qualify for, or whether care will disrupt their independence.
The Veterans Relief Care Program was created to bridge that gap — offering real, in-home assistance while helping Veterans and families understand their care options without pressure or commitment.
This is not a sales visit.
It’s a chance to explore support that respects your service and your independence.
WHO BENEFITS MOST FROM THIS PROGRAM
This program is especially helpful for Veterans who:
DO I QUALIFY FOR THE VETERANS RELIEF CARE PROGRAM?
A quick way to see if this free support may be available to you. You may qualify for the Veterans Relief Care Program if the following apply. If you’re unsure about any item, that’s okay — our team can help you confirm.
You are a U.S. Veteran who served on active duty, including service during:
– Korean War Era (June 27, 1950 – January 31, 1955)
– Vietnam War Era (August 5, 1964 – May 7, 1975)
Other service periods may still qualify — eligibility can be reviewed during your assessment.
You can provide a DD-214 showing:
– Honorable discharge or
– General discharge under honorable conditions
The Veteran must live in:
– Lake County, or
– McHenry County
You are either:
– Currently receiving VA Healthcare benefits, or
– Not enrolled yet but open to coordinating or enrolling with VA support
We can help guide you through next steps if needed.
This program is available to new Veteran clients of Assure Home Assist
(not previously enrolled in our services).
This is a one-time complimentary offer and is not redeemable for cash or credit.
You or your loved one may need help with:
-Daily activities such as bathing, grooming, mobility, or meals
-Supervision for memory loss, dementia, or safety concerns
-Short-term support after a hospital or skilled nursing discharge
-Care needs are reviewed during the free in-home visit.
Services provided are non-medical and delivered within the scope of Assure Home Assist’s licensed services.
Participation in this program does not guarantee ongoing services or eligibility for VA or other benefit programs.
Program availability is subject to caregiver availability, service area coverage, and scheduling capacity.
Assure Home Assist reserves the right to modify or discontinue this program at any time without prior notice. Any services requested beyond the complimentary two (2) hours will require a separate service agreement.
This program reflects our mission and continued commitment to serving those who have served. As a VA Community Care Network provider, this initiative supports outreach and relationship-building within our community.
Program Dates & Coverage:
This program is effective January 22, 2026 through March 31, 2026, and is available to Lake County and McHenry County residents only.
